Floods in Valencia.

article image

The recent tragedy in Valencia could not leave us indifferent. Today, we witness natural disasters and destruction that leave scars not only on buildings and streets but also in the hearts and lives of people.

The floods devastated infrastructure, forced thousands to leave their homes, and deprived them of basic necessities, including electricity and water. Currently, thousands remain homeless, with evacuees temporarily residing in shelters. This is horrifying and leads to the sobering realization that tragedies can happen to anyone, leaving innocent people to suffer, requiring care and support.

Our response to the flood was immediate and swift. In the first few days, our team was already on the streets of Valencia, providing much-needed assistance. No one was afraid of the mud – everyone worked tirelessly, cleaning streets, pumping out sludge, and clearing debris from damaged shops. We distributed tons of food, water, and hygiene supplies.

In a short time, we established operations in five towns: Catarroja, Sedaví, Aldaia, and Alfafar, where we delivered essential aid to those in need.

Disasters leave people feeling hopeless and helpless. The losses are immense, but this does not stop us from moving forward. For us, it is yet another reason to support those who are broken, help those left with nothing, and provide for those in need.

We plan to develop long-term projects that will expand the scope of assistance and address the current needs of this region.
