Antakya was one of the most devastated cities in Turkey after the tragic earthquake occurred on February 6th, 2023. 90% of its buildings were destroyed and hospitals were left in ruins. Therefore, the Medical Team of REMAR S.O.S. Immediately went to the place to provide medical assistance and free treatment to the population, they carried out medical brigades and set up a clinic in the center of the city, where more than 10,000 people benefited from the help of doctors, dentists, paramedics and nurses in their native language, whether Turkish or Arabic through a group of interpreters who donated their time to help those most affected, a labor of love that undoubtedly helped Antakya in its worst moments and that contributed to its recovery.
