Solace & Refugee

Providing assistance to refugees stands as one of the practical solutions embodied by our programs. In times of armed conflicts, wars, or natural calamities, individuals from affected regions find themselves transformed into refugees or temporarily displaced persons. At REMAR SOS, our unwavering commitment is not only to extend humanitarian support to refugees but also to help them find solace and refuge.

But how do we go about rescuing and comforting those in need? Our journey with refugees commenced in 2015 on the island of Lesbos, Greece, when it emerged as a sanctuary for individuals fleeing Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Within our tented centers, we tirelessly worked to provide sustenance, companionship, and essential provisions, ensuring their most basic needs were met. Even today, our centers in Greece continue their dedicated efforts under the REMAR umbrella.

Additionally, we extended our helping hand to Ukrainian refugees, offering them respite in hotels located in Rzeszow, Poland, and Suceava, Romania. Throughout the year, families were provided with complimentary accommodation, three wholesome meals a day, as well as comprehensive support with both domestic and legal matters. Moreover, we constructed purpose-built centers in Mostyska, Ukraine, near the border, serving as havens where individuals could find solace, take respite, or utilize as transit points during their arduous journeys. Equipped with 200 beds, our centers not only catered to their immediate physical needs but also offered nourishment and solace for their weary souls.

In Turkey, a nation grappling with the aftermath of natural disasters, numerous individuals found themselves without shelter or a place to call home. Upholding our established SOS protocol, we stood alongside these affected communities, extending our unwavering support. Presently, our focus rests on fostering long-term assistance through the construction of purpose-built residential areas and refugee towns within established camps. These newly developed settlements boast well-planned infrastructure, facilitating a sense of normalcy and enabling individuals to rebuild their lives. As part of this ongoing endeavor, we envisage the creation of comprehensive centers complete with state-of-the-art sports facilities, sanitary provisions, social kitchen, and inviting social dining areas, complemented by hygienic and recreational zones.

At REMAR SOS, our resolute dedication to refugee assistance remains unwavering. By employing a comprehensive and professional approach, we strive to make a genuine difference in the lives of those who have been displaced, ensuring their journey towards stability and brighter futures is met with compassion, dignity, and unwavering support.
