It's more than just food - it's a stepping stone to adaptation and socialization.

Social Kitchen, an integral part of the Remar S.O.S program. We are always ready to cook and serve meals with the utmost care and dedication. Our unwavering desire is to feed people with nutritional yet delicious food, using the best available ingredients. We believe that everyone has the right to access health-focused and tasty meals that nourish both the body and spirit.

Each Social Kitchen operates based on the needs, understanding that the intensity of feeding may vary depending on the specific service area. However, regardless of the location, our commitment remains unchanged – to provide regular and reliable meals to those in need. Whether it’s a daily lunch or a special gathering for a specific event, we strive to be a reliable source of nourishment and support wherever we are. The concept of feeding may vary depending on the resources available in a particular area. For example, in one of the social kitchens in Ukraine, we have entrusted the preparation of meals to a catering company that prepares a variety of complex dishes and delivers them hot, right before serving, while we take care of distribution and care for the people. I yet in Turkey and other regions, this is not an option so we prepare the meals ourselves, meticulously cooking and serving each meal from sun up to sun down every day. However, the space of the social kitchen and the quality remain unchanged. People have the opportunity to gather in a spacious environment for dining and socializing.

We carried the vision to create a space where people are communing around others. This atmosphere is where loneliness meets society, and an individual can choose to be open to communication and friendship in the future. Now imagine how the life of a person who barred the hardships of their environment alone, now has a daily circle of support, can change? It’s more than just food – it’s a stepping stone to adaptation and socialization.

The Social Kitchen team works tirelessly to find the best possible ingredients, understanding that the quality of food is important for the health, nutritional value and nourishment of each dish. We strive to prioritize the use of local fresh vegetables and proteins: such as meat, which we add to every dish. We also pay attention to fiber and dietary fiber found in greens. Additionally, we have a low percentage of using processed foods – currently, we have a goal to completely eliminate them, but this criterion also varies based on geographical indicators and the availability of good local products.
